The Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group (formerly Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group, Inc.) is the largest independent manufacturer, marketer and distributor of well-known and widely-consumed carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks in the United States. We service more than one-third of the U.S. population with operations in 25 states. We operate ten manufacturing plants, over 100 distribution centers and employ over 9,000 employees.
The Company’s portfolio of carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and alternative beverages consist of highly recognizable national brands that are in many cases the first or second ranking brand in their flavor or product category. Dr Pepper, Seven Up, A&W, Sunkist, Canada Dry, Schweppes and Squirt are a few of the leading CSD brands. The leading alternative beverages, manufactured and/or distributed by the Company are: Snapple, Fiji, Arizona, Clearly Canadian, Glaceau and Deja Blue water. On May 2, 2006, Cadbury Schweppes completed the acquisition of The Carlyle Group's 53% stake in Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group forming the Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group.

The Dr Pepper/Seven Up Bottling Group was formed in 1999 by the merger of American Bottling Company (ABC) and the Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas (DPT) with the principal shareholders being Cadbury Schweppes and The Carlyle Group. Since formed, DPSUBG acquired Big Red Bottling of South Texas (2000); Skyline Beverages of West Virginia (2000); All-American Bottling Corp. of Oshkosh, Wisconsin (2002), Weinstein Beverage Co. of Spokane, Washington (2005) and the balance of All-American Bottling Corp. on June 9, 2006.
ABC was formed as a joint venture of Cadbury Schweppes and The Carlyle Group in April 1998 for the purpose of acquiring Select Beverages and Beverages America, two independent bottlers with large contiguous franchise territories in 15 Midwestern states. In November 1998, ABC acquired Cotton Club of Cleveland, Ohio. In February 1999, ABC acquired sole ownership of Iowa Beverage Manufacturers, Inc. and in April 1999, ABC purchased franchise territories located in eastern Indiana from Metro Beverages, Inc. Beverage America was formed in 1988 and grew through the acquisitions of Seven Up Detroit Inc. (1988); Beverage Management, in Ohio (1988); Metro Beverages Company, Dayton, Ohio and Klages Coal & Ice Company, Akron, Ohio (1990); Seven Up Bottling Company of St. Louis, Inc. (1995); Mid-Continent Bottlers, Inc., (1995); All-American Bottling Corp., Minneapolis, (1996); Seven Up Bottling Company of Topeka (1996), and All-American Bottling Corp., West Virginia (1996). Kemmerer Bottling was formed in 1986 and grew through various acquisitions such as, Seven Up Bottling of Indiana/Northern Kentucky (1986); Joyce Beverages Midwest (1986); Racine Seven Up (1986); Kemmerer was sold to an investment group and renamed Select Beverages (1994); A.J. Canfield Co., American Juice Co. and Iowa Beverage Manufacturers, Inc. (1995); All-American Bottling Corp. Rockford, Illinois (1995) and All-American Bottling Corp. Madison, Wisconsin (1996.)
DPT was formed in 1985 to acquire the Dallas/Fort Worth Dr Pepper Bottling Company and Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Waco. Between 1985 and 1997 DPT acquired The Seven Up Company, Waco, Texas (1985); Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Houston (1986); Full Service Beverage Company of Texas, (1989); Seven Up Bottling Company of Dallas (1990); Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Galveston, Big Red Distributors, Inc., Waco, Texas (1995); Corsicana Dr Pepper Bottling Company (1996); Seven Up/RC Bottling Company of Southern California, Las Vegas, NV and Albuquerque, NM (1997.)
Seven Up/RC Bottling Company of Southern California was formed in 1986 when then owner Westinghouse Beverage Group purchased the RC Bottling Company of Southern California and merged it with its Seven Up Bottling of Los Angeles unit. Seven Up/RC Bottling Company became part of Dr Pepper Seven Up Bottling Group in 1999.
Big Red Bottling Company was formed in 1984. In 2000, Dr Pepper Seven Up Bottling Group purchased and formed the Big Red Seven Up Bottling Company of South Texas adding it to its Dr Pepper Bottling Company of Texas business.
